We have 90 competitive sports clubs, 60 casual intramural sports teams and 216 societies. From Lacrosse to Maths, Musical Theatre to Swimming, Stand Up Comedy, Baking and more…
Our Athletic Union (AU) sports clubs range from competing locally to internationally, with regular training and socials – they are a fantastic way to make friends!
We also have casual sports leagues within the university called intramural sports. You can join with your friends, people you live with in halls or from your course.
Our 216 societies represent a range of passions and interests. Whether it’s performing on stage, giving back to the local community through volunteering or finding a new passion, SUSU are here to help you grow your CV, cultivate new experiences and meet new people. Clubs and societies provide excellent opportunities in volunteering and leadership, so get involved with the roles, experiences and leadership opportunities within clubs and societies to make a difference to yours and others time at university!
During Welcome Week we are hosting Meet and Greet sessions for the majority of our clubs & societies. These will give you a chance to learn more about them and ask questions. Sessions are limited to 20 people, and you can book a maximum of 5 sessions. You can book your sessions here
